Mixed Media

My figurative abstract work utilizing a variety of media challenges me to push the subject matter beyond realism. This work satisfies the designer in me through solving composition elements and exploring colour. Working abstractly and learning from abstract mentors has pushed my representational work to greater levels. My mixed media artworks generally incorporate Oil and Cold Wax Medium, crayon, pastel, paper, graphite, and charcoal in no particular order. Exact materials are noted with each painting and the substrate is always on board or panel to ensure stability.
