A moment of memories from South Steens. When I am out in the field, I often put my camera down to just watch the horses. I like to think I am etching these visuals in to memory. When I begin painting. the work becomes a fusion of my recollection and feeling through use of colour, texture and form. That is how this artwork came to be. The coral glow represents the light and warmth, the texture is the rugged nature of the location and the form is one palomino stallion who gave me a moment of pause to witness his beauty.
