Born from paintings of the past, Romeo is part of a series of sketches drawn on random sections of an unfinished older mixed media start. The abstraction from the original painting on the paper creates movement, texture and spontaneity. The subtle textures in this artwork was created by dragging a large wide metal edge across the entire surface of the work. The result is reminiscent of the look and feel of travertine.
