Nap by the Waterhole - Original Art
Nap by the Waterhole - Original Art
10" x 10" oil on 1.25" gallery wrap canvas.
The waterhole is where horses from different bands congregate, but not always peacefully. My muse here, a young bachelor Stallion named Spirit, I found napping alone in the heat of day by the waterhole. He earned it, his was energy spent trying to steal a mare from another band earlier in the day.
This painting was juried into The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts, My Happy Place Small Works Exhibit. June 21-23rd at the Lakewood Center for the Arts.
