A goal of mine this year has been to focus on mark-making. By utilizing the same pose in this mixed media series, I am able to flow the sketch intrinsically and let ideas evolve. Kimmie is a stylized version where I switched between dominant vs indominant hands and let the rhythm of the music in the studio guide my line. Varying line weights create interest. She dances to her own drum.
