Dallas - Original Art
Dallas, 11" x 14" Mixed Media (oil, cold wax, graphite, charcoal, pastel) on Mixed Media Paper, mounted to 1.5" cradled panel. Unframed
Adventures in Mixed Media continue. A goal of 2024 was to work on my "mark-making". These are marks inherent to me and my hand, generated from various tools and mediums. A trip to the hardware store becomes an artist's creative outlet when objects such as a large putty knife or shower scrubber with a long handle become your mode of applying paint. These paintings create my backgrounds with energy and intention. Then I freehand draw the horse into the image into a new dynamic way. The abstraction from the marked painting on the paper creates movement, texture and spontaneity.
These mixed media sketches look awesome in groupings - buy one and a 10% discount will automatically be applied on any additional painting from the series.

Discover the Essence of Equine Beauty Through Art
As an artist, I have dedicated myself to the subject that inspires me most, the equine form. I am drawn to the lines in a horse’s conformation; fluid, angular, curvaceous and graceful. I aim to transform each horse's unique essence into art
