Cold Wax International – A Juried Show

I am thrilled to share that my semi-abstract painting, Two Geldings in a Paddock, was accepted in to Cold Wax Academy's premier show, Cold Wax International – A Juried Show. The entries were staggering, 839 submisssions and 79 selected works. I am delighted to be amongst so many other skilled artists working in Cold Wax. 

This painting encompasses much of the journey I have had bridging the gap from representational work towards abstraction. Many mentor critiques, workshops, and hours of trial and error to get to a place where working in cold wax medium begins to come intrinsically. This work satisfies the designer in me through composition; somewhat like solving a puzzle where all the pieces jive and the weight of the elements fit. To find a title that is quirky is the icing on the cake.
