Horses have an array of expressions and dramatic abilities in their movements. Their energy can be contained, but sometimes it is explosive. The series of Mixed Media Sketch artworks capture spontaneous mark marking, which I interpret as their energy onto the surface. The abstracted marks create the backgrounds for my drawings, capturing this energy within the form. The result is a mixture of chance and choice as to how the form finds itself woven into the final artwork
